The epic poem Paradise Lost written by John Milton is undoubtedly an epic poem; however it holds an uncanny resemblance to the medieval travel narrative. Therefore this story, authored by a Vietnamese woman born in 1947, gives a little known view into life there. €Years later, whenever I traveled in the Vietnamese country – side again, I always stopped to contemplate these lowers: in real ponds, in real villages.
